Best time to visit Aspen
Aspen has two peak seasons. Mid-December through early April brings world-class skiing and riding across four mountains — Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass. June through September is prime for wildflowers, hiking the Maroon Bells, road biking, and a packed festival calendar. Late April–May and late October–November are quiet 'shoulder' seasons when snow is gone but the summer scene hasn't started and some businesses pause.

Getting to Aspen
Aspen is one of the few resort towns with a commercial airport right in the valley. Note: Aspen's airport (ASE) has seasonal construction closures (spring 2026, and a longer runway reconstruction in 2027) — during those windows Eagle County (EGE) becomes the main gateway.
